- Adus — the Refugee Reintegration Institute (founded 2010), a public-interest civil-society organization that helps refugees and other victims of forced migration reduce the barriers to their effective reintegration into society. As a member of its Conselho Consultivo I help develop initiatives promoting social, economic and cultural inclusion for refugees and asylum seekers.
2003
- Akhawia — أخوية سوريا, “the Brotherhood of Syria”: a Syrian youth civil-society initiative (cultural, intellectual and social) supporting civil liberties, democratic pluralism and public responsibility. With 270k+ members it was one of the most popular online socio-political forums for youth in the Middle East. It ran from 2003 until it was forcibly stopped at the end of 2009.
